Tamarac Terrace Spring 2026

Dear Tamarac Families and Community Members,

Our school community has a special opportunity in front of us, and we would love for you to be part of it.

For some time, the Character Education Committee has envisioned creating a Peace Courtyard in our front lawn, a welcoming outdoor space centered around a Peace Pole where students can gather, reflect, and learn about kindness, respect, and community. With support from the PTSA and many families who purchased commemorative bricks, we now have the opportunity to bring this vision to life.

Because our available funds are limited, we are moving forward with something even more meaningful, a true community build. Families, staff, and volunteers will come together this spring to construct the courtyard ourselves.

To make this happen, we are looking for community members willing to share their time, strength, equipment, and expertise.

If you have experience in any of the following areas, your help would be incredibly valuable:

• Landscaping
• Excavation or site preparation
• Retaining wall construction
• Brick or paver installation
• General construction or project planning

We are also hoping to connect with individuals who may be able to help with equipment such as:
• Skid steers / small excavators
• Plate compactors
• Wheelbarrows or landscape tools
• Dump trailers or hauling equipment

And of course, we need strong bodies and willing hands to help during our volunteer build days this April.

If this sounds like something you’d enjoy being part of, please join us for our Tamarac Terrace Community Kickoff Meeting:

Wednesday, March 18, 2026
6:30 PM
Tamarac Elementary Cafeteria

At this meeting we will share the vision, review the design, talk through the construction plan, and identify the skills and resources needed to make the project successful.

Whether you are a contractor, landscaper, equipment owner, or simply someone who enjoys helping build something meaningful for our students, your involvement would make a tremendous difference.

Projects like this become special not because of the materials used, but because of the community that comes together to build them.

We hope you’ll consider joining us and helping create a space that Tamarac students will enjoy for years to come.
